These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pastclimate.com and its tools (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the Service

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse it — for example by attempting to disrupt it, access it through automated means beyond what our published API allows, or scrape content at a scale that degrades the Service for others.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

Weather and time data

Historical weather values are derived from the ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis dataset and are provided on an "as is" basis. Time zone, daylight-saving, holiday, and astronomical information is computed from standard public data sources and may contain errors or become outdated. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for decisions where accuracy is critical (for example legal, safety, aviation, or financial decisions) without independent verification.

Intellectual property

The Service’s design, text, and original content are owned by PastClimate or its licensors. Underlying datasets remain the property of their respective providers and are subject to their own licences.

Advertising and third-party links

The Service is supported by advertising and may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PastClimate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
